The chief engineer said, “Our priority is to nab the electricity thieves and recover dues. No compromise can be made. Several transformers in far-flung areas have been taken down.”

Mastui urged the people to pay their dues in order to “avoid embarrassment”.

“Uninterrupted power supply has been ensured. Grid station in Dera Murad Jamali has been started,” he added.
He said that on the orders of Quetta Electric Supply Company chief executive the drive for recovery of dues has been expedited.

“Orders have been issued to the SDOs and line superintendents to take stern action against electricity thieves and for recovery of dues,” said Mastui. “Stealing electricity is a national crime. Those who do not cooperate with the national departments are not in favour of the country and its people.”

He said that they were trying their level-best to turn Qesco into a profitable organisation and provide relief to the people.
