Man allegedly rapes 14-year-old stepdaughter in Faisalabad

Accused’s brothers threaten victim and her mother with dire consequences

FAISALABAD:
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her stepfather in Faisalabad’s Millat Town area, police told Express News on Sunday.

A police official said that the victim’s mother G*, a resident of Shams Abad, lodged a complaint at the police station in which she stated that she had married Latif Masih, who was her second husband.

She added that she had a daughter M* from her previous marriage who lived with them. The woman stated that on the day of the incident, she went out to buy vegetables when accused Latif allegedly sexually abused her daughter.

G* maintained that when she returned home, she found the victim injured and unconscious. She said that after committing the crime, her husband fled the scene. She said Latif had been missing since the day the incident took place.

The woman said her brothers-in-law pressurised her into not registering a case against her husband. The victim’s mother revealed that they also threatened her and the victim with dire consequences if she took legal action against them.


Meanwhile, police have registered an FIR against the accused and have started investigations.

Earlier, a seven-year-old girl was subjected to sexual assault in Faisalabad’s Islampura area.

Police said that the victim, H*, went to a shop owned by 50-year-old Faqeer Hussain to buy some items. When the girl reached the shop, Hussain forcibly took her to his house and raped her. After committing the crime, the suspect escaped from the scene, leaving the girl injured.

However, when the victim raised a hue and cry, people from the neighbourhood reached the spot and shifted her to a local hospital for treatment. Later, the accused was taken into police custody.
