The applicants said that they are government employees and have been living in government houses for 25 years. They said that the Sindh government had ordered forcible evacuation of 285 houses. The houses to be snatched from us will be given to Sindh Secretariat employees, they said.

They said they were not encroachers as they were regularly paying rent from salaries.

They appealed to the court to restrain the Sindh government from evacuating their houses.
