SARGODHA:
Six people were killed in separate incidents in the district on Saturday. Police said that 17-year-old Ansar Iqbal, a resident of Piplan, was traveling on MM Road with his sister and niece when a recklessly driven oil tanker collided with their motorcycle. As a result of the collision, all three died while the driver fled the scene of the crime. Meanwhile, a speeding tractor trolley hit a motorcyclist Hasnain Shah, killing him and injuring another. Rescue 1122 workers shifted the injured to a hospital. Separately, a couple was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in Jhaverian police station limits on Saturday. Police said that Ahmed Yar, his wife Tahira and his 12-year-old daughter Afia were travelling on a motorcycle on Bhera Road when unidentified assailants opened fire on them. As a result of sustaining bullet injuries, Ahmed Yar and Tahira died. Police have registered a case.
