Hailey Baldwin reacts to rumours of secret marriage with Justin Bieber

Supermodel took to Twitter to set the record straight on her relationship status

Hours after media publications reported that Hollywood power couple Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin quietly married at New York City's courthouse on Friday, the latter took to Twitter to set the record straight on her relationship status. “They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone,” People quoted a source close to the couple as saying.

While the duo had initially intended to get married next year, they now want to get it out of the way, reported TMZ. “The quickie wedding is not because Baldwin is expecting. 100% she is not pregnant,” said another insider. Rubbishing all such reports, the supermodel tweeted, “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!" acknowledging that the photos of the two at the New York City Marriage Bureau may have hinted something.

If Baldwin and the Baby singer got a New York marriage license, as reported by various news outlets, they would legally need to get married in New York state within 60 days. TMZ earlier reported that the two were planning a ceremony as early as next week, likely in Canada at Bieber's new Ontario estate. It suggested that there would be a religious ceremony and that only a civil one has happened in Manhattan. “They’re going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love,” said a source.

People magazine, in an updated story, reported on Baldwin's tweet and still maintained that legally, Baldwin and Bieber did get married civilly on Friday. Apparently, the starlet just doesn't see herself as fully married until she has a religious ceremony. A friend of the couple revealed that Baldwin just “feels a civil ceremony and their ‘real’ wedding are two separate things.”

Bieber and Baldwin will hopefully confirm their full nuptials soon enough though, wherever and whenever they happen.
