Sonam reveals Anand initially tried to set her up with his friend

Actor spilled the beans during a recent appearance on 'Feet Up with the Stars with Anaita Adajania'

Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor Ahuja married long time beau Anand Ahuja on May 8 this year. The couple's wedding celebrations were filled with big guns with the creme de la creme of Bollywood in attendance. The likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan danced up a storm during the week-long celebrations.

Recently, during her appearance on Feet Up with the Stars with Anaita Adajania, the Veere Di Wedding star revealed how Anand initially tried to set her up with his friend, reported Pinkvilla.

Sonam shared that although her now husband was supposed to introduce her to his friend, the duo instantly clicked and ended up speaking to each other instead.

Speaking about the wedding, the Saawariya actor disclosed that she was surprised to see her mother Sunita Kapoor dancing her heart out. Sonam further reminisced about how Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor set the floor on fire too.

Sonam added that Anand proposed to her without a ring. Narrating the incident, she explained, “It was supposed to happen sometime in October but a few months before that we were in New York and this one day I was being a brat because I was having a crappy day."

Sonam continued, "I was complaining about how there was no good person in New York. Anand was biking and I was walking alongside... He just got off and got down on one knee and asked if I wanted to marry him.”
