Week-On-Week: SPI increases 0.2%
SPI for the combined income group rose 2.66%

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended September 13, 2018 registered an increase of 0.2% for the combined income group, going up from 227.57 points in the prior week to 228.02 in the week under review. However, the SPI for the combined income group rose 2.66% compared to the corresponding week of previous year. The SPI for the lowest income group increased 0.23% compared to the previous week. The index for the group stood at 216.43 points against 215.94 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. During the week, average prices of 13 items rose in a selected basket of goods, prices of 13 items fell and rates of remaining 27 goods recorded no change.
