British High Commissioner Thomas Drew has pledged to keep working for better relations between the two countries in a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Matters of mutual interest including regional security situation were discussed, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The meeting came a day after the army chief assured the Chinese envoy that the CPEC is Pakistan’s economic future and its security will not be compromised.
