The Turkish foreign minister will be arriving in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day official trip, reported Radio Pakistan.

Mevlut Cavusoglu will be visiting the country on an invitation of his Pakistani counterpart and is expected to meet the president and the prime minister.

Discussions on bilateral relations and regional developments will be held between the two foreign ministers.

Pakistan's foreign policy will be made at Foreign Office, says Qureshi

On September 9, Saudi Information Minister Awwad Bin Saleh al Awwad called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and invited him to visit the kingdom. Prior to this, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Pakistan on September 7.

Qureshi, who took oath as foreign minister for the second time on August 20 also met Iranian and US dignitaries during their visits to Pakistan. Outlining the country’s new foreign policy under PM Imran, he insisted that the new external policy would revolve around the principle of ‘Pakistan first’.

Speaking with reporters after he was sworn into office, Qureshi said that the new foreign policy would “begin and end at Pakistan”, implying that national interest would reign supreme.
