CDA tears down bus stand, hotel in Islamabad
The Enforcement Directorate and DMA of the Capital Development Authority carry out joint operations
ISLAMABAD:
The civic authority continued its ongoing anti-encroachment operation in different areas of the city on Wednesday, demolishing several unauthorised constructions.
The Enforcement Directorate and the Municipal Administration Directorates (DMA) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out joint operations at Faizabad against an inter-city bus service and demolished four rooms, two canteen cabins, two ticket counters and a shed.
Demolishing illegal structures: Why didn’t CDA stop marriage halls when they were built?
Similarly, an operation was carried out at plot 11 in Rana Market, Sector F-7/2. The operation was conducted on the directive of the Building Control Directorate.
During the operation, teams of the enforcement directorate demolished an un-authorised platform, un-authorised construction towards the rear and northern side of the market. Un-authorized construction on the top floor of the market and an illegally erected fence and other fixtures on CDA’s land were also removed.
