FAISALABAD: I demand justice for the murder of my daughters and want their killer, my son, arrested.

This was stated by Razia Begum as she registered an FIR over the murder of her two daughters at Faisalabad’s Jaranwala City police station.

She said her son Atif had married his cousin Ramsha, while her daughter Nazia has solemnised her Nikkah with Ramsha’s brother Aitzaz.

She added Nazia did not want to marry Aitzaz and a dispute was raging in the family over the matter. She maintained that Nazia wanted a separation from her husband and had also filed for divorce in court with the help of her sister Shazia.

She stated that Atif was enraged with his sisters over the matter.

Razia said on the day of the incident, Atif barged into the house and allegedly opened fire on Nazia and Shazia while they slept. The victims suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot.  The culprit managed to flee after committing the offence.

The Jaranwala City police registered a case against the suspect under Section 302. Both the victims worked as nurses in the area.

Earlier in May, a man gunned down his sister and daughter in Jhang over a suspicion. The incident took place near Mochiwala area.

Accused Taj had suspicion over the character of his married sister Kauser, 40, and her 20-year-old daughter Saeeda. In a fit of rage, Taj opened fire on Kausar and Saeeda, killing them on the spot.
