31 investigation in-charges appointed

Police say appointments were made on merit

LAHORE: After a massive overhaul in the transfer and posting of station house officers (SHOs) of Lahore, Senior Superintendent of Police Investigations (SSP) Owais Malik issued orders, on Monday, for the transfer and posting of 31 investigation in-charges.

The 31 newly-appointed in charges were selected after interviews were conducted by a panel comprising the SSP, divisional SPs and SP Crime Investigation Agency (CIA).

Inspector Zulfiqar Ali from investigations headquarters was posted as investigations in-charge of the Factory Area, Inspector Noorul Hassan as investigations in-charge Shahdara, Inspector Muhammad Shamim Paul as CIA staff, Inspector Muhammad Shafqat Loan from as investigations in-charge Garhi Shahu, Inspector Imtiaz Hussain as investigations in-charge Missri Shah, Inspector Munawwar Hussain as investigations in-charge Shadbagh, Inspector Imran Khan as investigations in-charge Lytton Road, Inspector Hafiz Muhammad Attique as investigations in-charge Millat Park and Inspector Nabi Baksh was posted as investigations in-charge Green Town.



Meanwhile, Inspector Naseer Ahmad was posted at the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS) Model Town, Inspector Muhammad Ali as AVLS Civil Lines, Inspector Muhammad Amin as investigations in-charge Shera Kot, Inspector Muhammad Aslam as investigations in-charge Ghalib Market, inspector Rehmat Ali as investigations in-charge Data Darbar, inspector Iftikhar Rasool was posted as investigations in-charge Raiwind City, Inspector Sajjad Rasheed as investigations in-charge Mangamandi, Inspector Hasnain Haider as investigations in-charge Chung, Inspector Zulfiqar Ali as investigations in-charge Gujjarpura, Inspector Israr Hussain as investigations in-charge Sanda, Inspector Ghulam Abid was as investigations in-charge Sarwar Road, Inspector Ulfat Hayyat as investigations in-charge South Cantonment.



Meanwhile, Inspector Hasnain Haider was posted to CIA Kahna, Inspector Sajwar Tariq to CIA City, Inspector Tariq Ilyas Kiyani to CIA Staff, Inspector Mukhtar Ali as in-charge investigations Shalimar, Inspector Munir Khan to AVLS Saddar Division, Inspector Danish Asif Ranjha to CIA Civil Lines, Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad as in-charge investigations Ravi Road, inspector Muhammad as investigations in-charge Kot Lakhpat and Inspector Tariq Mehmood as investigations in-charge Sabzazar.

This was the first massive overhaul in the investigations wing of Lahore police after the formation of the PTI government. A few days ago, DIG Operations Shahzad Akbar Rana transferred and posted 42 SHOs.
