People of Quetta have lauded the affability week observed by the Quetta police, saying it should not be held for just a few days, instead for a whole year as it would help bridge the gap between the people and the police.
The affability week was held from September 3 to 9.
Police summer camp begins
Police officers Muhammad Mansoor, Irfan, Zahid and a citizen Muhammad Saad told the Express Tribune that the friendly behaviour of the police officers performing their duties at various corners of the city deserves appreciation.
The police officers performing duties at the Bacha Khan Chowk, the IG Office Chowk as well as on Prince Road and various other corners of the city shook hands with the people travelling in cars and walking on streets and apprised them of the traffic rules and regulations.
Traffic cops urged to adopt ‘people-friendly’ attitude
Appreciating the friendly behaviour, people of the city said the announcement by DIG Abdul Razzak Cheema and IGP Mohsin Hassan Butt of holding the affability week is highly effective and if such weeks are held throughout the year then the negative perception developed about the police force will end.
According to the police officers, hundreds of people of the city highly admired them for spreading awareness about the law in a friendly manner.
