SARGODHA:
At least seven people, including a minor and a woman, were killed and several others injured in separate accidents in Sargodha city on Saturday.

Police said a youth was killed in a road accident in Jauhrabad police limits. Mudassir, a resident of Mari Luk Tehsil, was riding a motorcycle on Sargodha road when a car hit the two-wheeler.

As a result, Mudassir died on the spot while the car driver fled from the site of the accident. The body was handed over to the family after legal formalities. Police have registered case.


In another accident, two people including a woman died in Sahiwal and Jauhrabad police limits. Police said Shumaila, 45, a resident of Asif Colony, committed suicide by taking poison after a domestic dispute. In another incident, Ibrahim, 20, a resident of Gul Dakot, was on his way when he suffered electric shock after touching live wires accidently. He died on the spot.

Separately, two people including a minor were killed in separate incidents of firing in Sahiwal and Jauhrabad police limits. Police said Khushi Muhammad, a resident of Talokar Tehsil Jauhrabad was working in the fields on Friday night when some unidentified armed men shot him dead and threw the body into a canal. In another incident, a two-year-old boy Anas died after he suffered bullet wounds in the crossfire between two rival groups at village Noor Shah Tehsil Sahiwal. The bodies were handed over to the families after post-mortem.

Separately, two people including a woman were killed in Miani and Saddar police limits. Police said Gulzar, a resident of Naqshe Wali, allegedly shot dead her sister Nagina, 22, over a domestic dispute. In another incident, a truck hit and killed a motorcyclist Muhammad Riaz near Mitha Luk Chak 30-NB.
