‘Prime University’: HEC panel visits university in Khairpur
Higher Education Commission visit to evaluate varsity as part of the Institutional Performance Evaluation.

A panel of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, visited the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, to evaluate it as part of the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) project.
They met with Prof Dr Nilofer Shaikh, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, who briefed them about the working mechanism at the university. The panel comprised Sarfaraz Pirzada, Air Commodore (retd) Mohammad Ismail, Professor Dr Azam Ali Khawaja and Mohammad Shoaib, the project director for IPE.
The team evaluated the organisation, governance, faculty, curricula and institutional resources at SALU under HEC’s pilot study, for which the evaluation would serve as a model. The panel members appreciated the voluntary offer given by Dr Nilofer Shaikh to evaluate the performance of the university as a prime institute of upper Sindh.
