Training Troops: Annual training in Cholistan begins

BAHAWALPUR: Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Haroon Aslam witnessed two quadroons of troops engaged in annual training exercises in the Cholistan desert. On arrival, Aslam was briefed about the aims and objectives of the training by field commanders. Later at night, the corps commander witnessed maneuver and attack exercises by mechanized forces. He appreciated the training standards, morale and motivation of the troops. “New barracks will be provided for troops under training in Bahawalpur,” he added. Aslam also addressed the troops following their training and said that he was proud of their efforts. “This is one of the hardest training grounds for troops because exercises in the desert at the peak of summer is a gruelling regime,” he added. “This is why we are trying to improve living conditions here,” he added.
