Two girls sexually assaulted in Sargodha

Police register cases, remain on the hunt for culprits

SARGODHA: At least two girls were reportedly sexually assaulted in separate incidents in Sargodha on Tuesday.

A police official told Express News that Adnan barged into the house of S*, a resident of Bhagtanwala, and allegedly raped her while she was sleeping.

However, when the victim raised a hue and cry, the accused fled the scene. The police shifted the girl to the hospital for treatment and medical tests.



A case was registered against the suspects on the complaint of victim’s father and raids were conducted to arrest them.

Meanwhile, girl’s father told the police that the accused wanted to marry his daughter and he often used to visit his house. He added the culprit took advantage of the situation and allegedly raped her.

In yet another incident, a girl was sexually abused during a robbery bid in Jhari Wala Village.

The police said that the victim was asleep in her home, along with other family members, when Tanveer and his two accomplices barged in and stole Rs15,000 cash and jewellery. The accused allegedly raped the girl and fled with the booty.
