Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday assured Sindh Governor Imran Ismail that the government is determined to fix issues faced by the citizens of Karachi.
During the meeting with the governor, the premier emphasised the lack of basic amenities in the port city and reiterated that Karachi's development is crucial to achieving economic stability in the country.
The prime minister assured the Sindh governor of support as Ismail thanked PM Imran for the opportunity given to him by the PTI
A delegation of the Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) also met the premier. The delegation included high-level party leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farogh Naseem, Aminul Haque, Kunwar Naveed, Nasreen Jalil and Waseem Akhtar.
Opposition split paves easy path for Arif Alvi
Following last month's general elections, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged as a strong force in Karachi. The ruling party achieved what seemed inconceivable until the 2013 general elections. It managed to dethrone MQM-P, breaking a three-decade-old record in the process.
