The minister, who was being interviewed by anchor Zeeshan Malik on Wednesday, ostensibly lost his temper after clips showing him using unbecoming language was broadcast. Malik then asked Chohan if he would resort to such language after assuming his ministerial responsibilities.
Chohan presented a number of explanations in reply including one on how former Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had used derogatory language for him. “Rana Sanaullah abused me first. I responded in kind”.
The host then played another clip of Chohan terming Sheikh Rasheed a "ghatya" individual who had never remained faithful to anyone. He then presents an open challenge to anyone on money changing hands in connection with 19 NA-56 tickets. "May my nikaah(s) stand void and I die an unbeliever's death if I have ever harboured such a thought." Chohan is then seen subjecting the host of the programme, media and his political rivals to a volley of abuse.

Punjab Senior Minister Aleem Khan has tendered an apology on behalf of Chohan. He said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar may have been made cognisant of the episode.
“To run an off-camera clip is against journalistic ethics, I answered extremely negative questions with patience through the entire program. They showed an off-camera clip of after the programme had concluded. Despite this, I apologise for my off-camera behaviour,” Chohan tweeted earlier on Thursday.
