Priyanka Chopra to star in Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming Shakespeare project

Director had expressed his desire to collaborate with Chopra on a film based on William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

Bollywood film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj confirmed on Tuesday that his next project with Priyanka Chopra will go on floors next year. The duo have previously worked together in 7 Khoon Maaf and Kaminey.

Talking to a press conference, Bhardwaj revealed that he had met with Chopra three-four times to discuss the film.

The Haider director had earlier expressed his desire to collaborate with the Baywatch star on a film based on William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

When asked if there is any progress on the project, The Indian Express quoted Bhardwaj as saying, “Priyanka (also) wants to work with me. And we are working with each other. Hopefully, we will start the film next year.”

Previously, PeeCee was reportedly all set to make her Bollywood comeback with Ali Abbas Zafar helmed Bharat which starred Salman Khan in lead role. However, due to impromptu engagement with American singer Nick Jonas, Chopra decided to take a step back from the project.

She was later replaced by Katrina Kaif.

The Quantico star is currently busy in numerous projects. Chopra will next be seen in The Sky is Pink, starring Farhan Akhtar.
