ISLAMABAD: Converting scientific data into words that can convey a message clearly understood by people is an important communication skill, particularly for spreading awareness regarding conservation, environment, health and other such issues. Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) Tuesday arranged a workshop on technical writing to improve effective communication skills which are essential to convince decision makers. “The workshop will focus on learning how to put scientific data in context and drive key messages for different stakeholders, said Dr Catherin Allan of Charles Sturt University. Acting Australian High Commissioner Brek Bately and Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) Additional Secretary Dr Qaiser Majeed Malik inaugurated the three-day workshop being organised in collaboration with Charles Sturt University, Australia.
