KARACHI: Former Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Minister Haji Muzaffar Shajra along with PPP District Malir leader, Qadir Bakhsh Baloch and former Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly Bari Jilani have joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Addressing a press conference at Insaf House on Sunday, PTI Karachi President Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that it was an important day for their party as PPP leaders from Malir had joined them. "Qadir Baloch is a renowned name in the business community," he said, adding that Jilani had joined PTI along with his son.

Punjab governor resigns

Shajra said that he joined PTI after being inspired by PTI Chief Imran Khan's struggle against corruption. Meanwhile, Baloch said that in the last 10 years, PPP had turned Sindh into a hub of problems. "Situation in Malir is far worse," he said, adding that the PPP had given nothing to the district. "Not a single hospital or educational institute has been constructed by the PPP in the district," he added.
