Snoop Dogg to release his first cookbook

Titled 'From Crook to Cook', the book will include the rapper's favourite recipes

American rapper Snoop Dogg has announced that he will be releasing his first cookbook in October this year. Titled From Crook to Cook the book will includes the rapper's famous recipes such as chicken and waffles, soft flour tacos and filet mignon, reported The Independent.

The news comes after Dogg appeared on a TV series with Martha Stewart called Martha & Snopp's Potluck Dinner Party. The show received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2017.

The 46-year-old rapper said in a statement, "You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig?" The book will also include a recipe for gin and juice which is inspired from his 1993 song of the same name.

Dogg is planning to take his "cookbook game" to the next level by getting it published by Chronicle Books. Christine Carswell, publisher of Chronicle Books stated that she was ecstatic on the collaboration.

She said, "Snoop Dogg and Chronicle Books are about to Snoopify the cookbook world and kitchens around the world. His book is full of his iconic creative energy - it’s as much fun to read as it is to cook from."

Senior editor at Chronicle Books Camaren Subhiyah added, "Creating this book together has been a total trip, and I can’t wait for everyone to start cooking with Snoop this October."

From Crook to Cook will hit shelves on October 23.
