Post-Hajj flight operations to start from tomorrow

The operation set to be completed by September 25; this year, 184,210 Pakistani pilgrims have performed Hajj

ISLAMABAD:
The post-Hajj flight operation will commence from Monday and continue till September 25. The first flight, carrying some 327 pilgrims, will land at Islamabad's Benazir Bhutto International Airport tomorrow evening.

According to the officials, over 900 Pakistani pilgrims on board four flights will reach Islamabad and Peshawar on August 27. Of them, 240 would land at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport, through the Saudi airline, while PIA would bring back 327 pilgrims to Islamabad.

This year, 184,210 Pakistani pilgrims have performed Hajj.

Meanwhile, Shaheen Air International’s (SAI) is also set to resume its post-Hajj operation on Monday after the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) allowed the airline to reopen its head office.

The Hajj flight operations began on July 15 with flights commencing from various cities such as Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and Sukkur. While the operations lasted till August 15.
