BAHAWALPUR: All the necessary measures will be taken to keep the city clean and pollution-free during Eidul Azha, said Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ayub Khan Baloch on Saturday.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting for the district emergency board where the arrangements for Eidul Azha were being finalised.

He also directed that the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company, municipal companies across tehsils and the Bahawalpur Municipal Corporation play an active role.

He maintained that Eidul Azha is a sacred event for which foolproof security arrangements should be made. Baloch added that the government has imposed a restriction on collecting animal hides without permission which will be implemented strictly.
