Balochistan National Party called for a shutter down strike in the province against the killing of a party worker.
The Balochistan National Party (BNP) called for a shutter down strike in parts of the province against the killing of a party worker on Tuesday.
Business and trade markets in Quetta remained shut during the day.
The strike was also observed in other parts of the province including Dhadar, Gandawa, Mustoong, Qalat, Naushki, Dalbundin and Gwadar.
Additional police and FC personnel were deployed in Quetta to ensure adequate security.
The strike was called against the killing of Naseer Ahmad who succumbed to his injuries after police resorted to teargas shelling and aerial firing on Saturday, when BNP members took out protests.
BNP has also called for a wheel-jam strike in Balochistan on June 3.
