Efforts afoot to provide quality healthcare in Multan

All possible efforts are underway to ensure top quality treatment facilities for poor patients in government hospitals.
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz who addressed a ceremony in connection with Independence Day
in Multan.

The DC said that he was intervening in the affairs of Nishtar Hospital with an aim to improve healthcare services. “It is my mission to provide top quality treatment facilities to poor people in state-run hospitals,” he added.
He said that the rich manage to avail treatment at private hospitals, while the poor face issues. Therefore, the DC is taking special interest in improving the conditions of government hospitals.
He hoped that people would witness a positive change in hospitals, including rural and basic health units.

He also urged locals to actively take part in the tree plantation campaign. Riaz said the total population of Multan was about 4.6 million so everybody should plant at least one tree.
He said that trees were the best sources of producing oxygen. The deputy commissioner also sought people’s cooperation for a “green and clean Multan”.
He said that they were evolving a system to keep the city neat, clean and green.
