Capital raid: 500 wine bottles recovered
A suspected warehouse was raided
ISLAMABAD:
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Islamabad Police has recovered 500 bottles of wine during a raid at a house in Sector I-10/2, a police spokesman said on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, he said that SP (Investigation) Gulfam Nasir directed DSP CIA Muhammad Hussain Lasi to raid a suspected warehouse. The police team raided the house identified there and arrested two bootleggers named
Waqas Saeed and Shamoon Masih and recovered 500 bottles of wine, nine cans of alcohol and other brewing items. A case has been registered against the two at the Sabzi Mandi police station while further investigation is underway. Operations-SSP Najeebur Rehman Bugvi appreciated the action and directed all police officials to ensure effective crackdown against drug peddlers in their respective areas.
