PARKSVILLE:
Isabelle Beisiegel made history by becoming the first female golfer to earn a spot on a men’s pro golf tour by grabbing one of two non-exempt berths on the Canadian Tour. Beiseigel, of Montreal, Quebec, tied for ninth place Friday at the Canadian Tour’s Spring Qualifying School. “It is a little overwhelming,” said Beisiegel. She shot a 75 in blustery conditions to finish at eight over 296 while playing at the Morningstar Golf Club near Victoria on Vancouver Island.
