Police on Sunday registered a case against a citizen for attacking a police officer in Boat Basin area. Police officials said a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) official, Hanif Korejo was attacked while he was eating dinner at a food street in the area on Saturday night.
Police officials said that the accused, identified as Adnan Pasha, along with his friends opened fire on the CTD cop. However, Korejo remained unharmed. The accused also beat him up and later managed to escape before a larger contingent of police arrived at the scene.
Security personnel among four martyred in Turbat rocket attack
Police officials collected at least four empty shells from the crime scene and registered a case against Pasha on behalf of Korejo at Boat Basin police station.
Police officials said that the accused also resorted to indiscriminate firing on main Sharae Faisal few months ago and has threatened the government. Further investigation is underway and no arrest has been made as Pasha went into hiding after the incident.
