Advertising awards aimed at increasing creativity

PAS Chairman said that the main objective of PAS Awards was to raise the standard of advertising in Pakistan.

Pakistan Advertising Society (PAS) awards on Friday night were aimed at promoting competition and encouraging creativity to strengthen the advertising industry.


Adcom won three awards, JWT won two awards, Lowe and Rauf won two awards and The Brand Crew and Spectrum Communications (Pvt) Ltd won one award each.

PAS Chairman Aly Mustansir said that the main objective of this year’s PAS Awards was to raise the standard of advertising in Pakistan by acknowledging and honouring idea, strategy, and creativity, which leads to positive business results.


“I hope that in the coming years more and more partners will join PAS to strengthen the platform that will eventually benefit our industry,” said Mustansir. Encouraging competition within the industry will provide momentum to better standards, he said.

PAS Awards Committee Chairman Fuad Chundrigar said talent was of no shortage, and it was great to celebrate these achievements.

“Now the question before us is that whether we can raise the bar,” he said.   According to him, there was a lot of room for growth, this recognition will inspire people to compete in a positive environment, and create powerful, insightful campaigns.
