PHC seals illegal drug addiction treatment centre

Where 22 people were kept in detention under the pretext of treatment

The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) on Friday sealed an illegal drug addiction and rehabilitation treatment centre and closed down 37 businesses of quacks.


An illegal treatment centre on Multan Road was functional, where 22 people were kept in detention under the pretext of treatment. There were neither any doctors, psychiatrists nor appropriate living facilities. The released individuals were handed over to their guardians. Three persons were arrested by the police.
