Doctors perform ECG and liver test to determine condition
KARACHI:
A medical board comprising of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) doctors on Friday said Captain (retd) Safdar will remain in the hospital due to health concerns, reported Express News.
Doctors performed an electrocardiogram (ECG) on the former premier's son-in-law to determine the condition of his cardiac stent and a liver test.
Captain Safdar shifted to PIMS from Adiala Jail over 'health concerns'
Safdar is reportedly suffering from diabetes and a liver ailment due to which he is unable to eat.
Doctors further said that Safdar’s deteriorating health condition in jail affected his electrolytes. He has been admitted to the VVIP section of the cardiac centre.
Safdar was sentenced in the Avenfield reference case to two years in prison by an accountability court hearing corruption references against members of the Sharif family.
