FAISALABAD: Two teenagers were allegedly killed during an encounter with Millat Town police on Wednesday night.

Millat Town Police Station SHO Syed Imtiaz Hussain said two motorcyclists were signalled to stop by a police team headed by police. However, instead of stopping, they opened fire and sped away which forced the police to retaliate, he claimed.

As a result, both the young men, later identified as Usman and Arsalan, were seriously injured and died at hospital. Police also reportedly recovered a pistol found in their possession.

On the other hand, the parents and relatives of the two boys gathered outside Allied Hospital and protested against the police. They maintained that the police shot the boys without any justification.

Meanwhile, Faisalabad RPO Ghulam Muhammad Dogar took notice of the incident and directed the CPO to investigate the matter and submit a report within 24 hours.
