MULTAN: “Over 0.4 million children will be vaccinated in the five-day anti-polio drive that will commence in Multan on Monday [today],” said Multan Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz.

He expressed these views while inaugurating the campaign on Sunday by administering polio drops to children under the age of five.

The government of Punjab has provided the latest anti-polio vaccination which is safe for human health. In order to successfully complete the five-day drive, more than 1,100 field teams and 906 mobile teams have been constituted, he revealed.

“Field teams will go door-to-door in various areas of Multan, while mobile teams have been appointed at a union council level,” he said.
Strict action will be taken against those parents who will refuse to have their children inoculated, he added. “It is the parent’s duty to ensure that their child is vaccinated against polio,” he stressed.

Further, anti-polio camps will be set up in various locations including bus stands, railway stations and all public places which can be easily accessed. He maintained that a special monitoring system for the surveillance of monitoring teams had been constituted so that not a single child is left out.

The deputy commissioner also requested the people to cooperate with polio teams. “Respect the workers, especially the women, who will go door-to-door to ensure your child remains health,” he said. Cooperate with these people as they are fighting for a greater national cause, he stated.

Mohammad Baig | 5 years ago | Reply The most trying issues the Pakistan has and will canary on for the coming generations are the making of second source of water and power systems with new technology called 110 instead having 220 volts. Thus if we do this good one job we can save billions of units for the industrial sectors and cheapest for the domestic sectors too. I wonder why this idea has not caught many more scientists of Pakistan.
