Hoarding Wheat: 5 Food Dept officials suspended
Hundred sacks of wheat were being hoarded by the accused for their own use
GUJRANWALA:
Five Food Department officials have been suspended including an Agriculture Finance Corporation (AFC) official for bungling the wheat distribution. The DCO was informed that in Noshera Virkan centre AFC official Mushtaq Ahmed Bhindar, storage officer Nabeel Sharif and three inspectors Ghulam Murtaza, Babar Shahbaz and Abdul Qadeer were deducting payment on the pretext of having received moist wheat from farmers. When officials raided the godown, they confirmed that extra 100 sacks of wheat were being hoarded by the accused for their own use. Anti corruption officials have ordered a probe into the matter.
