Complaint: FIA summoned over inaction
Muhammad Yousaf, a citizen, through his counsel alleged that Wapda authorities had embezzled Rs2 billion.

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court on Friday summoned the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director Lahore for June 16 on a petition which submits that the agency had not taken action against the alleged corruption by Wapda authorities in issuing electricity connections for tubewells. Muhammad Yousaf, a citizen, through his counsel alleged that Wapda authorities had embezzled Rs2 billion in sanctioning subsidised electricity connections to farmers. He said an application to the FIA requesting action against the corrupt authorities but the agency did nothing in this regard.
