Khanpur Dam water supply scheme almost ready

The CEO of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board says Almost 96% of work on the water supply project has been completed

Almost 96 per cent work on Khanpur Dam water supply project has been completed said Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Sibtain Raza.

Six overhead water tanks with 200,000 gallons water storage capacity and underground water tanks having same capacity have been completed, Raza said.

An overhead and underground water storage combined tank with 500,000 gallons capacity has also been completed while two pipelines marked as MS14742 and PE7800 have been laid under the project to supply water to the residents of the cantonment board and the city, he added.

The CEO said this while talking to elected members of the board including Malik Sajid, Hanif HussainAhmed, Malik Usman, Arshad Qureshi, Shafique Ahmed, Malik Mansoor, ShahidMughal, Arshad Khan, Rashid Ahmed Khan and Yousaf Gul and RCB Vice President Malik Munir Ahmed in a meeting.
