CJP takes notice of airline’s negligence
Few passengers are said to have been fined and even arrested due to visa expiry

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of media reports that about 300 Pakistanis are stranded in Guangzhou, China.
They were scheduled to return to Pakistan on July 29 via a private Pakistani airline, but despite a delay of several days, no flight has been arranged, reflecting serious mismanagement and negligence on part of the air carrier. Few passengers are said to have been fined and even arrested due to visa expiry. It has also been reported that no relief has been provided to the stranded passengers by the government, so far.
Taking notice of the issue the top judge has directed to issue notices to the CEO of the airline, Secretary, Aviation Division and Secretaries Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, to submit a report within 12 hours while the matter has been fixed for August 3 at the Lahore registry.
