Aisam-Bopanna qualified for Round 3 of the French Open after beating Maxima-Nishikori 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 in Round 2 on Friday.
Earlier this month the duo made headway in the ATP rankings , with Pakistan tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi rising to a career-best 10 from 12 with 4080 points in the ATP doubles rankings.
Whereas his Indian partner, Rohan Bopanna achieved his career-best rank of 11 from 13 in the ATP doubles chart with 4050 points.
Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi are now at number seven in doubles team rankings with 1,575 points.
