QUETTA:
Balochistan National Party-Mengal senior leader Lashkari Raisani has said the problems of the people of Quetta have increased manifold and only “our party can resolve the issues”.

In a video message to the people of Quetta on Tuesday, the National Assembly candidate for NA-265 Quetta said, “Our youth seek to study, but they are deprived of it due to lack of resources. Even if they do manage to obtain degrees, they do not get jobs.”

The BNP-M leader said, “Our talented players cannot pursue their profession due to lack of sports facilities.”

He stressed on a collective drive for achieving the rights of Balochistan, saying, “Our people are aware of the group looting provincial resources and know that there is a plan in place to exploit our resources.”

“Our province is replete with natural resources and people of Balochistan, from all communities, should come forward and launch a collective movement to secure their rights and that of the province.”

Raisani said, “The youth should ask their elders about Quetta’s condition before the 1935 earthquake. The city was rebuilt by its people. People from Punjab and Sindh used to visit the city for its beauty. Unfortunately, today the provincial capital has turned into one of the worst cities of the world.”

On the law and order situation, Raisani said, “The people of the city should stand against the flawed policies due to which the number of barriers and check posts increased.”
