Forcibly Picked Up: Court adjourns missing person’s case

The petitioner’s counsel argued that his client had no links with miscreants.

PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a case of a missing person, Noor Habib, after his forced disappearance from Peshawar last year. A two-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel, after hearing arguments from the counsel of petitioner and respondents, adjourned the case till further orders and issued notices to respondents. The petitioner’s counsel argued that his client along with Nazir Muhammad, another missing person, was forcibly picked up from village Bora Pestawana on March 5, 2010. He said that they had no links with miscreants.
