Social activist Raza Mehmood Khan reportedly returns home safely

Social activist Raza Mehmood Khan reportedly returned home after a seven-month-long disappearance.
Raza was allegedly abducted on December 2, 2017, and remained missing till this week. The activist’s brother, Hamid Nasir Mehmood, had filed an application in Lahore’s Naseerabad police station earlier asking the law enforcers to take notice of Raza’s disappearance.
Missing activist Samar Abbas contacts family members
An active member of Lahore’s civil society, Raza was part of Aaghaz-e-Dosti - an initiative to promote friendly relations between the people of Pakistan and India.
Raza went missing in a wave of ‘disappearances’ of activists that saw Samar Abbas, Waqas Goraya, Salman Haider, Ahmed Raza Naseer and Asim Saeed go missing under suspicious circumstances. While, Goraya, Saeed, Naseer and Haider returned home safely by the end of the month, Abbas remained missing for more than a year.
