Teachers’ training starts at UoE

Junior faculty from Punjab Higher Education Commission and member universities attended the workshop

LAHORE:
A two-week training programme under the title “Punjab Academic Training Workshop and Mentoring Sessions” started at University of Education (UoE), Township Campus on Monday. Junior faculty from Punjab Higher Education Commission and member universities attended the workshop.

The inaugural session was attended by University of Education Vice-Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam, Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairperson Dr Nizamuddin and other higher officials of PHEC and University of Education. While highlighting the salient features of the training programme, the VC said that the main purpose of the activity was professional development of the faculty members.


Rauf-i-Azam added that the University of Education was a pioneer university in the field of teachers’ training and will continue its efforts to produce best teachers. PHEC Chairperson Dr Nizam-ud-Din highlighted the efforts of PHEC to uplift the higher education sector in Punjab province.
