Says the PTI government would double the tax collection

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had arrived in Pakistan and the next step of action would be to bring back Rs300 billion looted money.
Addressing a gathering in Bhara Kahu he said, “Nawaz Sharif has arrived now we will bring back looted Rs300 billion.” “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ruled the nation several times and they gave nothing but a heap of debt to Pakistan.” He added that corruption was the biggest issue of Pakistan that led to unprecedented financial deterioration in the country.
Khan said that his party would enhance the income sources by getting rid of corruption and employing various means, after coming into power.
He talked about the several civic problems, which are being experienced by the residents of the capital including shortage of drinking water, water contamination, unplanned and irregular construction and absence of proper waste disposal system. He added that all these issues will be addressed on priority.
The PTI chairman said that a women’s university and a boys’ technical college would be established in Bhara Kahu by his party’s government.
Addressing another gathering in Islamabad’s Karachi Company area, Khan said that the state institutions including National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would be strengthened to arrest the corrupt and broaden the tax net.
He said that the tax collection is around Rs4,000 billion. “PTI’s government would double the tax collection by building confidence of taxpayers their money would be spent for betterment of the people,” he claimed.
PTI candidates woo minorities ahead of general elections
Earlier, addressing a press conference PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said that the provincial interim governments must summon the meeting of the apex committees to devise a strategy for maintaining law and order situation in the country.
He said that the timely and peaceful polls were the biggest challenge for the caretaker government at the moment. He also condemned the attack on the rally of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chief minister Akram Khan Durrani and termed it an orchestrated attempt to sabotage the election process.
Chaudhry said that some elements wanted to destabilize the country and foreign involvement in it cannot be ruled out.
With regards to the arrest of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz upon arrival, he said “putting them behind bars is not enough,” adding “Nawaz Sharif must bring back all the money that he had been looting for years.”

“Nawaz is pretending as if he has conquered Kashmir,” he said. The PTI spokesperson said that the allegations against Nawaz Sharif are quite simple. “Nawaz Sharif was elected as the prime minister thrice, he had to disclose his sources of income yet he was unable to do so, he added.
Chaudhry said that PML-N is shamelessly asking the same people to welcome Nawaz upon his arrival whose money they had usurped.
Sharif threatens to 'spill the beans' on the 2014 sit-in of PTI
The PTI spokesperson said that the provincial government should handle Nawaz Sharif’s arrival matter carefully. He said that the situation emerged due to the inexperience of the caretaker government. "If it were our government, we would have neither arrested the PML-N workers, nor shut down the mobile service," he added.
