Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage
How would you describe your body type?
In one word: Petite.
Has your body type changed over the last five years?
No, not quite. I don’t gain or lose weight easily so my body has pretty much remained the same.
How has your style changed over the years?
My style has changed drastically over the years. I had my tomboy phase, I had an emo phase (not kidding!), had a time where I was all girly and less was never more for me and finally I’m more comfortable in basics.
What item in your closet do you wear the most?
My nude pumps – they go with everything!
What is the one piece of clothing that you would never wear?
I don’t know that yet. For now, I’d like to wear everything that I can think of.
In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing?
I think not dressing according to your body type is the biggest mistake anywhere.
What’s your favourite item in your closet?
My nude pumps.
What’s a style every woman should try at least once in her life?
Style is very personal, in my opinion. I think every woman should try the style that she’s personally afraid of. Just do it for kicks and giggles and see where it takes you.
If you could have any TV or movie character’s wardrobe, whose would you chose and why?
Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, for obvious reasons. She had the best wardrobe and style too, of course.
Which silhouettes suit your body the most?
High-waisted anything works for me. High-waisted pants are the most flattering on my body shape since they accentuate my waist and give my legs some length at the same time.
