Evaluation of ML-1 project completed
A delegation of the Chinese consortium called on Ministry of Railways to discuss the progress on Mainline-1 project
ISLAMABAD:
A delegation of the Chinese consortium, under the Framework Agreement, called on Ministry of Railways Chairman Muhammad Javed Anwar on Thursday to discuss the progress on Mainline-1 (ML-I) project. The chairman highlighted the importance of the Karachi-Peshawar project and informed that it is an early harvest and a strategic project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework. The feasibility study has been completed for the project’s preliminary design of phase-I and is now in its final stages of the review process. Both sides also discussed areas of cooperation in the railways sector.
