A motorcyclist was killed while another injured in road accident in Nishatabad police limits on Wednesday.
Woman killed in Blue Area road crash
A police official said 35-year-old Saeed, a resident of Chak No 15-GB, and his friend 65-year-old Ameer Ali, were travelling on a motorcycle when a dumper hit them near Dingro Bridge. As a result, Saeed died on the spot while Ameer suffered injuries.
In another incident, a woman was electrocuted in Dijkot police limits.
The police said the 35-year-old woman was trying to switch on a water pump in her house when she received a fatal electric shock.
Meanwhile, a sub-engineer of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) was suspended over delinquency, negligence and poor performance.

A WASA official said Managing Director Faqeer Muhammad Chaudhary conducted a surprise visit to various parts of the city and found sewerage problems in Mehmood Abad, Jualanagar and Usmania Park.
