Caretaker Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Chaudhary Faisal Mushtaq has said the immediate implementation of policies is the need of the hour.
“First, we will have to understand the concept of respect towards humanity and human beings. Ensuring human rights themselves is the second stage,” he added. The provincial minister visited the Human Rights and Minorities department on Tuesday.
Four more members added to Punjab cabinet
He was warmly welcomed by the Secretary for Human Rights and Minorities Asim Iqbal and a bouquet was presented to him. Later, the caretaker minister chaired a high-level meeting at the department. The secretary gave a briefing about the performance, target, achievements and ongoing projects of the organisation. While addressing the meeting, the minister said he really appreciated the efforts of officers and officials of the department.
However, he added there was a margin of improvement. “Although our mandate is interim, our passion to serve the people is everlasting.”
