Two women allegedly kidnapped in separate incidents

ISLAMABAD:
A guest was killed in an attack on his host in the Pindi Begwal area of Bhara Kahu late on Sunday evening.

According to police, Hafeez had come to meet Sher Nabi at his home. They were sitting in the house when suddenly some of Nabi’s relatives barged in and opened indiscriminate fire.

Hafeez died on the spot and Nabi was critically injured in the attack. The assailants left the scene unchallenged firing aerial shots to spread terror.

Both the deceased and the injured were taken to Polyclinic, where Hafeez’s body was handed over to his family after legal formalities, while Nabi was still in critical condition.

Nabi’s family told the Bani Gala police that he had a heated argument with some of his relatives. On Sunday evening, the complaint said, Sher Ghazi, Ubaidullah, Abbas and Azizur Rehman entered Nabi’s house and opened fire on him. However, a bullet hit Hafeez, who was sitting with Nabi, killing him instantly. Nabi also took a bullet but survived and taken to Polyclinic in critical condition, the complaint stated.

Bani Gala police have registered a murder and attempted murder case against the nominated suspects.

Two women kidnapped

Meanwhile, at least two women were kidnapped in separate incidents in the capital. One woman reportedly left her husband’s home in Madina Colony on June 6 and was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified people. Noon police have registered a case. Another woman was allegedly abducted in Sector G-12 and Ramna police have booked a man on the complaint of the woman’s father.
